As the only inner-city technology and entrepreneurship incubator in New England for urban youth and their families, we are proudly a multi-cultural, youth-centered and expert-led nonprofit organization.
We engage, equip and empower curious, creative, and talented underserved and under-represetend urban youth. and prepare them for success in business as employees, entrepreneurs or both.

We firmly believe youth are an untapped community asset and that entrepreneurship is an effective way to engage and educate them to make a difference as employees, entrepreneurs or both!
Our award-winning programs give youth a voice and a platform to be young movers, shakers and leaders. All programs are open to middle-school and high-school youth and the families that support them.
Our Story
Our journey began in 2003
Originally founded as the Urban Reach Institute for Student Enterprises nearly 20 years ago, we are now just 'Urise,' a nonprofit youth development organization headquartered in North Hartford.
Under the leadership of our founder, Alice Margie Turner, our dedicated board members, alumni and volunteers, our Vision and Mission still stands and our impact is greater than ever.
